Day 3 Stephen Maguire v Dechawat Poomjaeng

Time for the 2nd session

Frame 9: 70 from Maguire to reduce gap 5-4.

Frame 10: Maguire with a break of 91 to level the match 5-5.

Frame 11: 93 fabulous 6-5 to Maguire

Frame 12: 44 from Maguire then a massive kick, 74 to win the frame for the Thai player 6-6.

Frame 13: a very tactical frame which the Thai won 81-8

Frame 14: 62-26 Maguire levels at 7-7

Frame 15: 52 point lead for Poomjaeng, 5 reds left, Maguire got 21 back, Poomjaeng goes on to win the frame 8-7.

Frame 17: Great break from Poomjaeng 64 9-8 they're back after the evening matches!

Frame 18: 61-45 9-9!

Frame 19:  a 63 in the last seals a famous win for the Thai player another big name is out!

Thai player Poomjaeng - the world number 70 who came through four qualifying rounds to reach the televised stages - made a blistering start to the afternoon as runs of 72, 59 and 60 helped him ease into a 3-1 lead at the mid-session interval with Maguire running in 69 to win the third frame.
 
A 50 handed Poomjaeng - who is bidding to become the first Thai player to win a match at the Crucible in 14 years - the fourth frame, but Maguire cancelled out a 56 from his opponent with a 63 to claim the sixth frame.

The final two frames of the session were shared with former UK champion Maguire happy to snare the closing frame of the session as the players were hauled off a frame before their allocated nine for the session were due to be completed.

They play to a finish on Tuesday afternoon with the first man to 10 securing a meeting with Michael White in the last 16.
