Frame 1: 21 from Marco didn't really have very good cue ball control, meanwhile Matthew has had similar issues but is carrying on really well and the Welshman has won the frame with a solid break of 73.
Frame 2: Fu on a break of 31 played a snooker toughie for Stevens to get out of, hit-and-hope missed, he attempts again, Matthew has some Welsh luck leaves nothing for Marco. Marco then makes a break of 36 to win the frame.
Frame 3: Scrappy start to it, time for a re-rack, in that Matthew produces a frame winning 72
Frame 4: Tight one Fu has the advantage 21 point lead for Stevens, Fu should have snookered Matthew behind the brown but didn't in goes the red should be 3-1 at the mid session interval, and he is.
Frame 5: Marco Fu not playing too well this match could get away from him looks like it could
Frame 6: 97 from Marco Fu much better
Frame 7: 4 reds and the colours left 20-8 Fu, pink & black left, Matthew fails to get out of a snooker Marco pots the pink game on?
Frame 8: Stevens leads 52-0, Marco in the balls and he clears with a 60.
Frame 9: Fu in the balls on a 31 break but Stevens clears up to the black with a sublime 74
Frame 10: 59 for Stevens puts him in the driving seat, Marco Fu misses a red and Stevens goes through to the 1/4 finals.
Result: Stevens 6-4 Fu
