4th session: Mark Selby 5-4 John Higgins (Match score 13-11 Selby)

Frame 25: Mark in amongst the balls straight away, 35 break and loses position, makes 22 does John, Mark gets enough to win the frame & goes three clear. (14-11 Selby)



Frame 26: 22 break for Mark then John gets a massive kick on a break of 25 plays safe. safety battle now. John goes on to almost win the frame, missed a tough plant. Mark leaves the red over the pocket, John pots it. (14-12 Selby)



Frame 27: Frame winning break of 71, the Jester 3 away from the title. (15-12 Selby)



Frame 28: 54 break well compiled by Mark not quite over the line yet, bout of safety won by Mark, 2 away (16-12 Selby).


Frame 29: 34 break from Mark, ran out of position, John clears up with a 88, (16-13 Selby.)



Frame 30: Good bout of safety going on, 111 break by John (16-14 Selby)



Frame 31: Selby breaks down on 46 after snookering himself, then the referee calls a foul on Selby hard to tell but i think the right call, 43 break for John , 3 points ahead in this critical frame, John wins another frame! (16-15 Selby)



Frame 32: Great response by Mark, frame winning break of 131 goes one away from the crown (17-15 Selby)



Frame 33: A frame, match & championship winning break of 75, Selby wins 18-15!
3rd Session Mark Selby 6-1 John Higgins (Session 7 frames), Match Score 13-11 Selby

Frame 18: Thin safety gone wrong for Mark, John gets out of a snooker laid by Mark (went behind the blue), John somehow overcuts a very thin red into the bottom left, red onto red & Selby is in, 21 break only. Selby with a 48pt lead now after a 20 odd break & Higgins fouling the brown. Another 20 odd break, Selby wins it (8-10 Higgins).


Frame 19: Excellent split of the pack from Selby, only made 13pts, 7 reds in baulk area, mistake by John, can Mark close to within one frame, a well compiled 40 break full of yellows & greens but this puts Selby very close to the winning line in this frame, John concedes. (9-10 Higgins, 5 in a row)


Frame 20: Mark misses a red into the right middle forgot the pot, 29pt lead for John, John goes in-off 3 times after a thin sneak off the brown! Laughs all around, eventually thin contact on the red 4th time around. John wins the frame with a break of 78. (9-11 Higgins)


Frame 21: 32 break from Selby, now into a safety battle, 28 from John plays safe, fluked red by John off the blue, only makes 12. one red left, good safety by Selby. John responds brilliant. Eventually after some more tactical stuff, Selby wins the frame. (10-11 Higgins)


Frame 22: Another tactical frame I reckon, 19 break from Higgins, now more safety (this afternoon session could only have a few frames left due to prep for evening session), confirmed no frame to begin after 17:15 BST so 25mins as i type, meanwhile Selby has frame ball red to go level! And he gets it! 67 break, we are level. (11-11)


Frame 23: A quick frame! A break of 58 puts Mark in front, great comeback (12-11 Selby)



Frame 24: Imperious from Mark, 72, a 6-1 session (13-11 Selby going into tonight)
